About Conservation Connections
Description
Bird conservation is as complex as the lives of the birds. There are biologists, organizations, researchers, policy makers, and government agencies working on individual species, conservation plans, and research projects to better conserve these species. The US NABCI conceptual model expresses this complexity.
Undoubtedly, there is overlap in this work. The NC Conservation Connection wiki is a first iteration to increase awareness and transparency, combining information from disparate sources into a shared, connected network of conservation information. At its core of the current version is the NC Wildlife Action Plan – outlining habitats, species, and conservation priorities for the state. Connect other plans, projects, and organizations, and we begin to build a larger picture of conservation efforts as a whole.
